Fishing in the Highlands of Scotland

Our Crubenbeg Highland Holiday Cottages private Loch-an is stocked with Wild Brown Trout and you can fish for free (fly only). If you are lucky enough to catch one of the elusive Crubenbeg monsters (up to 2.5 pounds) you can either buy them for £5.00 or hand them in at the house. The private lochin is great place to relax in the evenings while sipping on a glass of wine or to teach a young one the art of fishing.

Some of Scotland 's renowned fishing, for Salmon, Trout & Pike is available locally on the River Spey, at The Rothiemurchus Fishery and on various Lochs nearby. We are happy to make arrangements for you and can usually secure the services of a ghillie if you wish. For something a little different why not try your hand at pike fishing in Loch Alvie? The Badenoch Angling Association have water on the Spey Dam, above Laggan (fly only for Brown Trout), Lochs Laggan and Ericht and the River Spey from Laggan to a couple of miles downstream of Kingussie - stocked with brown trout, plus salmon fishing - especially in September.
